I feel old...

Today I spent several hours helping my neice and her best friend getting ready for prom. Orginally I was coming over to the house to do my neice's hair, however when I arrived I was asked if I could also do her friends hair. Ofcourse I was willing to do her bff's hair because the poor girl was looking right at me. What else could I say? lol After curling Sheliah's hair I was able to help curl Hannah's hair. After 3hrs both girls hair looked beautiful. As I was doing their hair I was listening to both girls talking about school, boys, dances and future plans. I have to say I was feeling a bit old. I remember those days when high school was my life. I was looking forward to the future and couldn't believe that time has passed by so fast. I am now 27yrs old and hopefully planning to have a family soon. How crazy is that? When I was younger I never believed that time flew by so fast. Now looking back I am amazed at how fast time fly's. It was sweet when my neice said Aunt Autumn you are not THAT old. lol Life is a journey that we take before going to heaven. Enjoy every minute of it and try to hold on to every memory.

Starting our Company

This week has been a stressful week with trying to get our company up and running. My husband and I have decided to start our own candle company "Chosen Daze". We will be premiering our candles at the local craft fair mother's day weekend. Although it sounds funny to be doing a craft fair we are hoping to see if the candles will actually sell there. We haven't set ourselfs up with to many hopes for the craftfair. There are just too many factors to take into account. We are beyond excited about the possibilites that it will bring. We are also working on the construction of our website. Dan has done a fabulous job with creating the website while I am taking pictures of all our fabulous products. Wouldn't it be something if this actually takes off? Oh how I would love to be a stay at home mom one of these days and have enough extra income to do so. I will keep everyone posted on our products.

Just another manic Monday....

I was about to type that it was just another average Monday but then I got to thinking. Are any Monday's really all that average? I think most would agree with me that they are not. I guess that is why most of us don't care for Monday's much. I went into work today after having Friday and the weekend off to loads of emails. It seems that I miss 1 day and there are several issues that just happen to gain speed and raise to the surface. Then it is my duty to put out fires as soon as I set foot into the office...Ok I am done complaining about work. I started reading a book on Mother Theresa. She was such a wonderful lady and I wish more people were like her. Could you just imagine how wonderful the world would be with more people like her in it.
In other news...We have started on our website that will be up and running in the next week. I am so excited and optimistic on the sales we will generate with our company. Wouldn't it be something if this thing really took off? Keep your fingers crossed for us. :)
Good night.

Out with the OLD and in with the NEW

After just about a year in our house we were blessed enough to buy new carpet for our house. After going to Lowes, Home Depot, and National Lighting we decided on Carpet One. The sales guy was helpful to explain all of our carpet concerns and questions. We (I) decided on a spice beige color and the best padding for the living and formal dining room. I figured since those are the two most used places in our house that we wouldn't bother with the best carpet in the rooms. Heck I don't even go to the left side of the house but a couple times a week to clean the litter box.

The guys installed the carpet in record time and only took them 5 hrs to do the entire house. At first I was nervous that they wouldn't take their time and do a half-a$$ job but as I was watching them install it they seemed to know what they were doing. It has been two weeks and we are enjoying the new carpet. My feet seem thankful. lol Our cat Cheeto seems to be enjoying his new found cushion as well. I attached pictures, however they don't do the carpet enough credit.

Lazy Sundays

I love lazy Sundays. This weekend was exciting. We got our new carpet installed Saturday. Although, I was a little annoyed that the carpet guys told us they would be here at 9am and showed up around 11am, I have to say they did a fantastic job. The men were nice and took their time to do it right. Thank goodness my parents moved down here in December because we needed my dad to help us move the huge furniture. The carpet is amazing and if you ever decide on new carpet I highly recommend getting the best padding because it is worth it 110%. I now feel like I am walking on clouds. With new carpet comes new responsibilty. I am needing to find something cute for people to put their shoes on because NO ONE will be wearing shoes on my new carpet. lol I am not looking forward to the day something spills on the carpet because I might just have a melt down.
Besides that Dan and I have just been laying around day today. We are enjoying the new carpet and just watching NCAA college basketball playoff's. I have been playing farmville most of the day though. I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend.

Is blogging supposed to be this hard?

After finding out that so many people have blogs I decided I wanted to give it a try as well. I know I have lots of opinions about things and always have views on topics that I want to share so why shouldn't I start my own blog? Easier said than done. I started by finding out where I could sign up to blog for free and found this wonderful site I am blogging on now. Secondly I had to find a cute background. Something that was MY personalitly and something that would attract readers. Suprisingly I found the background fast! The last step would be to start my first blog. So I got ready to start typing and found myself with nothing to say or at least nothing that I thought would be good enough for a blog. Days passed and I started to wonder if I even wanted to blog anymore. How can I have so many opinions and not a single topic to blog about? I went as far as researching blogging on the web to find out the proper way to blog. After looking at website after website I wasn't feeling any warmer about the idea of blogging. The websites offered suggestions about topics, how to type a blog, what content to put into a blog, what people find interesting about reading blogs and then I got my own idea. I decided that it doesn't matter if I am blogging to the standards these websites suggest or if no one reads my blogs at all. I decided that I want to write and express myself through writing. My blog will just be ME. My feelings. My thoughts. My ideals. My worries. My hopes. My fears. My stories. Life is such an amazing journey and what better way to express yourself than through writing.
Love & Hugs until next time.
